What is EVLOS?

EVLOS (Extended Visual Line of Sight) is different from BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) because even though the Pilot in Command (PIC) may not be able to maintain VLOS, a trained observer has visual command of the aircraft at all times.

This means no ongoing complex approvals from CASA and no IREX/BVLOS OCTA training and exams are needed! Once your ReOC is approved for EVLOS operations, you can pretty much operate anywhere.

The FPV Australia EVLOS training course is designed to provide the knowledge required to operate under EVLOS Class 1 & Class 2 conditions where approved under an Operator’s ReOC.

We have a few options for your and your organisation.  Please see below. However, if none of these are what you are looking for, then please feel free to contact us for a custom solution.

Option 1

Theory & Practical

Full face to face theory and practical training with your team, out in the field. This is deal if you have a larger team that would like a hands on approach, and time with our highly skilled instructors out in the field. Training can be customised to your specific requirements, for you and your entire team.

Option 2

Theory Only – Self Paced

This is ideal if you are the CRP, and you would like to gain a better understanding, and be trained in EVLOS – Both Class 1 and Class 2. You and your team can make your way through the training at your own pace, and then, when you are ready, you conduct the practical training with your team.

Option 3

Theory Only – Instructor Led

This is a good solution if you are a CRP, and are looking for a more personalised approach to your training where one of our instructors will lead you through the theory components, answering any questions etc etc. You and your entire team can complete, and then you can complete practical with your team.
