The FIELDS Ag Training Program has been designed to teach agricultural drone owners industry-standard techniques to get the best from their equipment whilst remaining safe and compliant with CASA and chemical application regulations.

What do we offer?

FIELDS is a face-to-face training course that includes a mixture of both classroom theory sessions and on-field practical sessions, where you will get chance to hone your skills in a safe environment under the guidance of our expert instructors.

We will cover everything from the basic set-up and calibration of your system, through to field-planning and logistics.

All of our course material is created using industry-standard best-practice guidelines and current chemical application regulations to ensure that you not only learn industry-leading techniques, but you also remain compliant.

Training is conducted at our preferred site in Orchard Hills, near to Penrith.

Contact us if you have a group of operators and would like to explore options for on-site training at your location.

Training will take place over 3 days. This may be extended to 4 days in the event of poor weather or larger groups.

We will cover all aspects of planning and on-field operations. This may include (but is not limited to):

  • Pre-op planning. Job analysis, breakdown and scheduling.
  • Field planning for safe operations.
  • Chemical/product application – speed, height and overlap for different scenarios.
  • Managing spray drift and meteorology for spraying.
  • Maintenance and record keeping.

Discuss this with us before booking on to a course. Whilst FPV Australia will be able to supply state-of-the-art training machines, it may also be possible to train on your own aircraft in some circumstances.

The full cost of this course is $2890.00 per person (plus GST).

This covers all training materials and use of FPV Australia training aircraft.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for all course participants.
