Remote Operator’s Certificate

Need a new ReOC, or need a variation to an existing ReOC?

We, at FPV Australia can take the hassle out of playing with CASA for an ReOC.

How can we help you?

FPV Australia plays a pivotal role in supporting drone operators in Australia through the complexities of obtaining and managing Remote Operator Certificates (ReOCs). Whether operators are seeking variations to their existing certificates or applying for new ones, FPV Australia offers comprehensive assistance tailored to their specific needs.

For operators looking to amend their ReOCs, FPV Australia provides invaluable guidance through the variation process. This entails navigating regulatory requirements, understanding documentation needs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. By leveraging their expertise, FPV Australia helps operators streamline the process, saving time and resources while ensuring adherence to regulations.

Variations include things like

  • Adding aircraft – such as Medium RPA
  • Adding Categories – such as Fixed Wing or Powered Lift
  • Changing Key Staff Member – such as Chief Remote Pilot, or Maintenance Officer
  • Changing Organisation Details – Such as name and location etc.
  • SWAM Endorsements
  • Close Proximity Endorsements
  • EVLOS/ BVLOS

Additionally, for those embarking on the journey to obtain a new ReOC, FPV Australia offers end-to-end support. This involves assisting operators in understanding the application process, compiling necessary documentation, and facilitating communication with regulatory authorities. With a deep understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations, FPV Australia empowers operators to navigate the intricacies of the certification process with confidence.

Moreover, FPV Australia goes beyond mere procedural assistance by providing tailored insights and recommendations to optimize operations. Our team offers expert advice on operational protocols, risk management strategies, and best practices to enhance safety and efficiency. By partnering with FPV Australia, drone operators gain access to a wealth of knowledge and resources to thrive in the dynamic landscape of commercial drone operations in Australia. We even guarantee it.

Contact us via the form below, and see how we can assist in making the complex, a little less complex!

What is included?

  • Full set of fully customised operations manual and operations library documents for submission to CASA
  • Remote Operators Certificate and all CASA fees
1 year supply of AVCRM (Single Pilot), compliance management software to manage the ReOC (more pilots can be purchased if needed)
  • Lifetime access to our online Chief Remote Pilot Compliance Training
  • Lifetime access to our online RePL Lecture Library
  • Full consultancy for me personally to help you through the entire process

For standard (less than 25kg) ReOCs, we can have it processed and completed in as little as 2 weeks.

Our proprietary automated systems means we can process your application, create your manuals and put you in the hands of the CASA Delegate in a speedy fashion.

If you purchase an ReOC with a 7kg, or 25kg RePL training course, the total cost of the ReOC is $1500 inc GST, and includes all the CASA fees etc.

If you are an existing student and have not trained with us for more than 12 months, the total cost of the ReOC is $1690 inc GST, and includes all the CASA fees etc.

If you are a completely new customer, the total cost of the ReOC is $1690 inc GST, and includes all the CASA fees etc.

No!  There is no further training required for an ReOC application.  However, we give you access to our Chief Remote Pilot Compliance training, in case you would like to brush up on your skill set – AND – we give you that for LIFE!!!

Your ReOC will expire 12 months from the initial issue, and it is important that you renew prior to this date.  Failure to do so may result in CASA cancelling the ReOC and you will have to start again.  Put a note in your calendar, so you know when it will expire.  After the first renewal, it will be every 3 years.

Currently the renewal cost is $480 for a standard ReOC.

Well, that will certainly depend on what you are doing.  If you are going to fly a drone that weighs more than 25kg (such as an Ag drone) and you will be charging for this service, then you will certainly need the ReOC.

If you are operating a drone weighing less than 2kg, you may not need an ReOC, depending on what, when, how and where you will be flying.  There is also restrictions without an ReOC.  No nights, for example, and there are also insurance implications to consider.

If you are still not sure, reach out. We are more than happy to discuss your individual needs.
